In 2003, a farmer named Joachim Munganga restored a washing facility in the remote Lake Kivu region in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Joachim's restoration efforts inspired the founding of the SOPACDI cooperative which has since grown to more than 5,000 active members, many of whom are women.
The SOPACDI was the first cooperative to achieve Fair Trade and Organic certifications in Congo and members of the organization represent several distinct ethnic groups.
A signature blend that celebrates the Land of Shining Mountains and Montana’s Big Sky. A heavy body and smooth finish have made this a classic Yellowstone Coffee roast since 1998.
While traveling down the Yellowstone River in 1806, Captain William Clark named a small stream lined with giant Cottonwood Trees, Big Timber Creek. Several decades later, pioneers settled the area, and designated the settlement Big Timber after the Lewis and Clark expedition.
This signature blend goes way back to Yellowstone Coffee’s foundation and has remained a long-time favorite for early mornings on the river.
Buffalo Blend is a tribute to the American bison that have called Yellowstone home since prehistoric times. This coffee is a crowd pleaser for folks who enjoy a bold, dark roast.
