While traveling down the Yellowstone River in 1806, Captain William Clark discovered a small creek flowing out of western Montana’s Crazy Mountains. They later named this stream 'Big Timber Creek' in honor of the giant cottonwood trees that lined the banks of the crystalline waterway. Several decades later, pioneers settled this wide-open valley and designated the community 'Big Timber' after the Corps of Discovery.

The Cometa Family grew, harvested, and processed this coffee at their family farms in Cauca, Colombia. Their family's thoughtful production and our family's artisan roasting process combine to create a coffee that is smooth, deep, and rich.
