One of the country’s most biodiverse regions, Oaxaca is better known for its cuisine, culture, and mezcal than for coffee—but a new generation of producers is changing that. High elevations and cool temperatures create ideal growing conditions, and generations of farming knowledge has built a foundation for extraordinary coffees.
This coffee delivers a balanced and expressive cup, with notes that remind us of cocoa, orange zest, and warm spice. A gentle brightness up front gives way to a round, medium body and a lingering, lightly sweet finish. Approachable yet nuanced, this coffee offers a glimpse into a region poised to become an important voice in Mexico’s specialty coffee future.
